Living Room AKA sitting room AKA lounge room is considered to be the heart of a home. As anybody who enters the home is asked to be seated in the living room. Therefore along with the design, the functionality, the utility and who all will be using  it is very important.

Basic Furniture of a Living Room:

* Sofa- Formal seating and Informal seating. (Dimensions depending upon the size of a Room)

* Center Table (Dimension depending upon the length of a Sofa)

* Side  Table (Dimension depending upon the center table and the space where it has to be kept)

* Dining Table. (Depending upon the members in a home and space constraints )

* Cutlery Unit (Depending upon the person's requirement)

*Shoe rack cum a designer console .

* T.V. unit cum storage (Depending upon the dimensions of T.V.)

These are the basic Requirements. One can also accommodate a mini bar depending upon the space.

Now-a-days people prefer an open kitchen adjoining the living room. In that case,the dining table can be accomodated in the kitchen and food service becomes easy.

Colour scheme  plays a vital role as people spend their maximum time in living room . Pastel colours are usually preferred. There can be one accent wall that is a wall with a brighter and a darker shade with textures or finished with a wallpaper. 

Accessories used in living room reflect the personality of the owner. One can accommodate beautiful buddha statues, floral arrangement, long vases, paintings, colourful pebbles with a weed arrangment, cushions, table mats,etc
